SECS Transport - Pre-Transportation Preparation

Welcome to the Pre-Transport Preparation section.

1. All paperwork to be arranged by S.E.C.S Transport.

2. Crane/Lifting – Generally the loading and offloading arrangements ie. crane etc is arranged by the client, although this can be arranged by SECS Transport if required

3. Keys to the vessel must be left with the driver. This is in case Customs need to gain access to the vessel. Should the keys not be available Customs will gain entry.

4. There is a check list which is normally carried out by the client:-

(a)	Disconnect/Isolate batteries and gas bottles
(b)	Check and turn off all water and fuel tank valves
(c)	Remove any hazardous materials
(d)	Close and secure all drawers, cupboards, interior doors, windows and hatches
(e)	Secure all loose items ie cups, saucers etc
(f)	Secure ropes and fenders
(g)	Remove Canopies and store
(h)	Lower/remove any antennas, radar arches, domes or lights
(i)	Windscreens to be removed and safely stored
(j)	Props and rudders to be removed and safely stored
(k)	Tilt up outdrive units for loading

5. A delivery and collection note will be with the driver. These documents must be signed when the vessel is collected and delivered.

6. Payment terms will be advised when the initial quotation is provided.
